Relativistic transformations of quasi-monochromatic paraxial optical beams

A monochromatic plane wave recorded by an observer moving with respect to the source undergoes a Doppler shift and spatial aberration. We investigate here transformation undergone generic, paraxial, spectrally coherent quasimonochromatic optical beam (of finite transverse width) when detector. Because of space-time coupling intrinsic Lorentz transformation, is converted into propagation-invariant pulsed traveling at group velocity equal that relative motion which belongs recently studied class ``space-time packets.'' show predicted from packet can be observed even terrestrial speeds.
